In June 2021, the Suriname Standards Bureau (SSB) received a letter from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Entrepreneurship and Technological Innovation regarding a proposal for identical adoption of the 'ISO 21041: 2018 Guidance on unit pricing' standard.

World Standards Day 2021 Workshop

Every year on October 14, World Standards Day is celebrated in honor of everyone worldwide who is involved in standards development for producers, manufacturers, consumers, suppliers, governments, industry associations, advisory institutions and the like. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and International Telecommunication Union (ITU) are the three global organizers.

Vacancy Suriname National Training Authority

As Suriname Standards Bureau, we are part of the working group of the Ministry of Education, which is charged with setting up a National Training Authority for Suriname. This body will focus on the further development of vocational education in Suriname.

In January 2021, the Suriname Standards Bureau (SSB) received a letter from the National Tourism Commission (NCT) regarding a proposal for adopting the standards they identified for hotels and guest houses.

The Suriname Standards Bureau (SSB) published the Draft National Standards “Packaged Natural Coconut Water Code Of Practice” & “Packaged Natural Coconut Water ― Specification” on July 29, 2021, for public feedback. During a period of two months, everyone will be allowed to comment on the draft documents.
