Comments on draft of the CARICOM Standard "Pesticides - Labeling - Requirments"

The SSB was recently asked by the CARICOM Regional Organization for Standards and Quality (CROSQ) to comment once again on the revised draft of the CARICOM Standard “Pesticides – Labeling-Requirements”.

As a Standards Bureau of Suriname, we would like your comments on this draft standard. We, therefore, offer you, as a stakeholder or prominent interested party, a copy of the aforementioned standard, with the request to comment on it and to inform us of your findings. The composite result of all findings will be sent to the secretariat of CROSQ after integral processing.

As you further know, after the final approval of this standard by the Council for Trade and Economic Development (COTED), the standard will be regionally established by CROSQ, after which it is also expected to be adopted by the SSB as a National Standard. We, therefore, urge you to contribute to this standard through your comments, as only in this way are we able to be heard by CROSQ and communicate our vision and views.

You can make your comments using the attached comment form. We will receive your comment by Friday 25 June 2021 at the latest. You can email these to standards@ssb.sr.

If you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact Mr. Tanwir Hassankhan (Head of Standards Development) on tel. +597 499928 or by email: standards@ssb.sr.
