Evaluatie Adoptie Beveiliging Standaarden

Het Surinaams Standaarden Bureau (SSB) heeft recentelijk een schrijven ontvangen inzake een voorstel voor het adopteren van standaarden die betrekking hebben op de beveiligingssector. Het gaat hierbij om een voorstel afkomstig van de Beveiligings Autoriteit Suriname N.V.

Het doel voor het adopteren van deze standaarden is het aanvullen van de dagelijkse beveiligingsoperaties met richtlijnen en om als leidraad te fungeren voor de lokale beveiligingsbedrijven.

Het gaat in deze om de adoptie van de volgende standaarden van de British Standards Institution:

1. BS 7858: Security screening of individuals employed in a security environment
2. BS 7958: Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), Management and operation
3. BS 7499: Static site guarding and mobile patrol service
4. BS 7872: Manned security services- Cash and valuables in transit services (collection and delivery)
5. BS 7960: Door Supervision
6. BS 7984: Key Holding and Response Services
7. BS 8507-1: Code of practice for close protection Services
8. BS 8517·1: Security dogs Code of practice for the use of general-purpose security dogs
9. BS 8517-2: Security dogs Code of practice for the use of detection dogs
10. BS 16000: 2015: Security management. Strategical and operational guidelines
11. BS 8549 : 2016: Security consultancy
12. BS 15602:2008: Security service providers
13. BS 5051-2: Security glazing -Specification for bullet-resistant glazing for exterior use
14. BS 17483-1:2021: Private security services. Protection of critical infrastructure - General requirements
15. PAS 127:2014: Checkpoint security screening of people and their belongings
16. BS 10800:2020: Provision of security services
17. BS EN 16747:2015: Maritime and port security services
18. BS EN 15602:20022 – TC: The Standard for Private security services- Terminology
19. BS EN 50131 -2-2:2021: The Standard for Alarm systems. Intrusion and hold-up systems - Requirements for passive infrared detectors
20. BS 8418:2021: Design, installation , commissioning and maintenance of detector-activated video surveillance systems (VSS)
21. BS 10121 -1:2022: Asset marking products- Vehicles and associated equipment
22. BS EN 62676-1-1:2014: Video surveillance systems for use in security applications- System requirements

Overeenkomstig het standaardisatie proces dient er eerst naar draagvlak gezocht te worden alvorens het SSB verdere coördinatie van dit proces ter hand kan nemen. Derhalve wordt u, als belanghebbende stakeholders organisatie/instituut, dringend verzocht om het evaluatieformulier uiterlijk vrijdag 19 juni  2023 in te vullen.

Het ingevulde evaluatieformulier is van eminent belang, omdat wij aan de hand van uw evaluatie kunnen nagaan of er behoefte bestaat om deze standaard te ontwikkelen. Na de evaluatie gaat het Surinaams Standaarden Bureau (SSB) ertoe over om de standaarden te adopteren.
