National Quality Awards (NQA) Programme 2026-2027

The National Quality Awards (NQA) Programme, implemented by the Suriname Standards Bureau (SSB) with support from CROSQ, is Suriname’s second national quality awards programme based on quality management systems. The programme originated from the TBT Phase III Project and provides organizations with the opportunity to demonstrate the quality of their products and/or services.

The NQA Programme was officially launched in 2022, with its first edition attracting participation from 17 companies across various sectors. This inaugural implementation marked an important milestone and highlighted the growing recognition of quality management as a key for sustainable business development in Suriname. The participation of these companies demonstrated a clear willingness within the Surinamese business community to invest in quality and continuous improvement. By promoting competitiveness, sustainability, and growth, the NQA encourages organizations to strive for excellence and ongoing improvement, thereby contributing to a strong national quality culture.

The Suriname Standards Bureau is currently preparing the upcoming activities for the NQA 2026–2027 Programme, which will further strengthen the national quality culture and expand participation across different sectors, and continuous improvement.
