30 June 2021The SSB was recently asked by the CARICOM Regional Organization for Standards and Quality (CROSQ) to vote for us on the final draft of the CARICOM Standard FDCRS 24: PART 1: 202X “Specification for grades of Fresh Agricultural Produce - Bananas”.
As a Standards Bureau in Suriname, we would like your vote on this final draft standard. We, therefore, offer you as a stakeholder or prominent interested party a copy of the aforementioned standard, with the request to vote on it and to inform us of your findings. The composite result of all findings is sent to the secretariat of CROSQ after integral processing.
As you further know, after the final approval of this standard by the Council for Trade and Economic Development (COTED), the standard will be regionally established by CROSQ, after which it is also expected to be adopted by the SSB as a National Standard. We, therefore, urge you to contribute to this standard through your vote, because only in this way are we able to be heard by CROSQ and communicate our vision and views.
