2d Evaluation adoption ISO 21041:2018 Guidance on unit pricing standard

The Suriname Standards Bureau (SSB) recently received a letter from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Entrepreneurship and Technological Innovation regarding a proposal for identical adoption of the 'ISO 21041: 2018 Guidance on unit pricing' standard.

The goal for adopting this standard is to:

1. Enabling consumers to compare the prices of similar items, including basic goods, to ultimately make better and easier purchasing decisions.
2. effectively guide retailers and retailers to display unit prices on all products in their stores, in the advertisements for these products, and to show the importance of informing and providing clarity to consumers to increase transparency to keep.

Following the standardization process, support must first be sought before the SSB can further coordinate this process. Therefore, as an interested stakeholder organization/institute, you are again urgently requested to complete the online evaluation form no later than Friday, September 10, 2021.

The completed evaluation form is of paramount importance, as your evaluation will allow us to determine if there is a need to adopt this standard.
